What's included and what's not included.

For all Walks
Accommodation is provided in small hotels, inns, rural houses and apartments.  We do not stay in pilgrim dormitories, nor do we stay in 5 star hotels.  A few single rooms can be booked and once those have been reserved, you will have to share. Most pensions and small hotels do not like to book more than 4 (at the most 5) singles and if the group is large, we might have to split the group and book rooms in a different establishment.
In parts of Europe many places have en-suite bathrooms in double rooms while single rooms share a bathroom so if you want a single room with en-suite bathroom every night you will have to pay for a double room.  In a couple of villages we might stay in an apartment, Agriturismo or Casa Rural where bathrooms are shared by the group.

All land arrangements from the time we meet are included such as taxis to bus stations and to and from hotels, a hired ALSA bus and driver from Burgos to Leon and Leon to Astorga plus a private coach from Ponferrada to Sarria on the Camino Frances. An amaWalkers group leader will accompany you for the duration of your trip.

Food: The majority of pilgrims prefer to start walking early and only a few places in Spain offer bed-and-breakfast. Very few include dinner but in places that have diningrooms you can book a table for a meal.  In remote places we will arrange for you to have evening meals, at your own cost.  You can have lunch at a cafe-bar or buy food at a supermecado to have for lunch.  In Switzerland and Italy most places are B&B and most have a dingingroom or restaurant for dinners.

NB:  We offer
all-in-one group packages, which include a group leader, B&B accommodation wherever possible, luggage transfers, private bus and taxi transfers on some routes and a boat trip on the Camino Portugues.
There is no change in the cost of the package if people decide they don’t want breakfast, or prefer not to use the luggage transfers etc.,

After Registration, we will email all the information you’ll need for your walking holiday including:

* An itinerary
* A list of hotels once all accommodation has been booked for the walk

* Three newsletters giving more information for the walk and the country you'll be walking through.
* A pdf comprehensive booklet with daily stage descriptions, accommodation and interesting places to see.

When you meet in St Jean, Ferrol, Burgos, Siena or La Douay the group leader will be there to meet you in the afternoon.  At the orientation get-together in the evening you will receive a goodie bag containing a credencial (Pilgrim's passport) a Michelin map guide book (for Spain only), and luggage tags if you are sending luggage ahead.

What’s not included:
Flights and airport taxes

Transport to the start
Cost of Visas
Personal items
Extra luggage transfer costs unless paid for upfront
Medical expenses
Insurance (essential)
Meals, drinks and tips

NB:
Transfer from/to airports to the start is for your own cost. Group transfers to the Santiago and Rome airports can be arranged.
